Corporate ownership of property in Portugal
It should be noted that there are no restrictions on the acquisition of property in the Portuguese legal system. That is, property can be acquired by any entity, whether domestic or foreign, public or private, individual or collective, provided it has “legal personality”. Similarly, there are no restrictions on the acquisition, ownership or disposal of shareholdings in commercial, real estate or other companies.
Finally, there are no restrictions on the entry or exit of capital, whatever its origin or destination, as long as such capital movements are justified by Portuguese law.
